Privacy Policy

This notice explains how the AmanKasu pilot handles information you give us through our website, accounts, field team and WhatsApp business channel.

Contact: amankasuw@gmail.com · +234 902 714 9179. AmanKasu is an early-stage Nigerian venture led by Quadri Adebisi. We do not describe ourselves as a licensed bank or escrow provider.

Place of business: Akinlabi House, Oniyanrin, off Mokola Roundabout, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.

Information we collect

We collect account and contact details you provide; buyer requests, supplier information, quotations, inspection and delivery records; messages sent to our WhatsApp number; and limited technical records needed to secure and operate the service. Field staff may record names and contact details you give them for a proposed transaction. Please do not send bank passwords, card PINs or unnecessary identity documents in chat.

Why and how we use it

We use this information to respond to enquiries, create accounts, prepare and coordinate requested sourcing, verify information supplied for a proposed trade, contact the people involved, manage issues and protect the service. These activities are based on your request to explore or perform a transaction, our legitimate operational and security interests, and applicable legal obligations. We ask for separate agreement before sending WhatsApp text to an AI service to draft a sourcing request. You can contact a person instead, and the AI cannot submit a request or make a payment without your explicit confirmation.

WhatsApp, AI and service providers

WhatsApp messages pass through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting, Vercel for the website and webhook, and Google Gemini to interpret the WhatsApp text of people who choose AI assistance. We share only information needed for those services and for the specific transaction with authorised field staff, suppliers or transport providers. We do not sell personal information. Service providers may process data outside Nigeria; their applicable agreements and safeguards should be reviewed before wider rollout.

Human decisions and marketing

AI drafts and structures messages; AmanKasu personnel remain responsible for checking supply, quality, pricing and fulfilment. There is no automated credit, payment or dispute decision in this pilot. We do not treat a sourcing enquiry as permission to send marketing messages. Any future promotional WhatsApp messages require a separate opt-in and a way to opt out.

How long we keep information

We keep account and transaction records while needed to provide the service and meet applicable recordkeeping or dispute obligations. We currently keep WhatsApp operational records and enquiry details in the service database; an automated deletion schedule has not yet been activated. You may request deletion or a copy at any time. We will remove information we no longer need, subject to a genuine legal or unresolved transaction requirement, and will publish a defined retention schedule before broad public rollout.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or object to particular processing, by emailing amankasuw@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before changing account-linked records. Reply STOP to pause WhatsApp AI assistance; choose “Contact Operations” for human help. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Security and updates

Access to operating records is limited by role. WhatsApp webhook messages are authenticated before processing; sensitive server credentials are not included in browser code. No system can guarantee perfect security. We will update this page when our data practices change and show the new date above.
